Elective Course Request Information and Process 2026/2027
The following information is to help students (and parents/guardians) request elective class(es) for the 2026/2027 school year.
All students are enrolled into the basic grade level core classes: Language Arts / Social Studies / Math / Science / Physical Education. Students are able to REQUEST an elective class(es) based on their personal interests. Currently enrolled students will enter their request into Synergy.
Parents/guardians of students who are newly enrolled for the 26/27 school year will receive communication from the Student Data Technician with steps on how to request their student's elective class.
The window for 26/27 6th grade students to enter course request is March 18 to March 27.
The window for 26/27 7th and 8th grade students to enter course request(s) is March 23 to March 27.
6th Grade Students 2026/2027
Students in 6th grade may request the "Exploratory Wheel" (a rotation of four (4) classes during each quarter of the school year) OR one (1) yearlong elective course.
Students will enter their course request(s) into Synergy via StudentVue. Parents/Guardians will confirm course request selections via completion of a grade level Google form, which will be emailed to parents of students with confirmed enrollment in Bernardo Heights for 2026/27.

7th Grade Students 2026/2027
Students in 7th grade may request two (2) semester elective courses OR one (1) yearlong elective course.
Students will enter their course request(s) into Synergy via StudentVue. Parents/Guardians will confirm course request selections via completion of a grade level Google form, which will be emailed to parents of students with confirmed enrollment in Bernardo Heights for 2026/27.
